Passport validity for T2G visa application

Hello,

My passport expires in October 2012. Can I make an in-country application for a new T2G visa (switching- change of employer) in June/July 2012? What are the rules on passport validity for in-country visa applications?

It dose not matter as when your current passport expired and get a new one, you can keep the visa in your expired passport. Only you have to take 2 passports (expired and new) one with you everytime you go travel outside UK.

Many thanks. Ok, so does it mean UKBA won't object if say you make a new visa application (in country) and the passport is expiring in three months?
