switching from psw to student

a couple of questions
during the time one switches from psw to student e.g psw expire end of June and one wants to start a course in September between the period of june and September can one work full time
in the old rules am sure you can but i need clarification as things have changed
also how many hours can a student work these days during term time and vacations if the person is studying at degree level and above

you cannot apply for tier 4 in country if your current leave expires more than one month before the start of the course. See para 245ZX(l) you would need to go home and apply for entry clearance.
