Solihull PEO closed on 10th May ??

Post by yvr_1978 » Fri May 04, 2012 3:44 pm

Hi,

I have received call from Solihull PEO and said that office is closed on 10th May 2012, so they have re-booked my appointment on 17th May 9:30, but she said it is Verbal Appointment, so I don’t get email reminder or message.
Did anyone receive call from Solihull home office for same reason as me?
Did Verbal appointment will cause any problems? I forgot name of the person called me and even she did not given reference number for verbal appointment?
Is it risk walking to PEO on 17th may without reference number?
Please suggest.

Thanks,
YVR

Check the forum, another member also posted similar experience and his appointment was re-scheduled for some similar reason.

Was your original 10-may appointment after 12pm on that day?

My appointment is on 10th may at 9:30 AM.
I said to her I have booked my train ticket and hotel etc., she said even if you come here on 10th may, office is closed and you don’t see anybody?
Today I called to PEO general enquiry they said you appointment is still booked for 10th may 9:30 AM and we don’t see any other appointments re-booked for 17th may 9:30.
Is the verbal appointment means it is local to Solihull office??

Thanks
YVR.

this is a classic example of left hand doesn't know what is right hand is doing.
unless you receive a written confirmation by email, i woild treat the current appointment as valid.

they might just be managing their internal workload and hence selectively cancelling appointments to free-up time for caseworkers to work on the backlog cases.

Should I attend May 10th 9:30 AM Solihull PEO? As they said office is closed on May 10th? I am not sure it is true?
My appointment for May 10th still exit in the system and it is valid.
I am confused, should I go to Solihull office on May 10th or May 17th?
Thanks,
Venkata

My friend, to be on a safer side go for your appointment on 10th. As you don't have any written confirmation regarding the rescheduling of your appointment date, you will have real hard time to prove it, if it turned out that PEO was not closed on 10th.
