The reason for this delay is that we are still awaiting the results of the obligatory checks that are carried out on all applications, and cannot take a decision until the results are back. We have alerted the UK to the fact that you have been waiting longer than usual, so they are aware of the need to send us the results as quickly as possible. As soon as we have them, a decision will be taken and your husband’s passport and original documents will be returned.
They are spinning a line. Normally applications are not referred to the UK. They only refer them if they have policy questions that they want "management approval" or guidance on.

Ok are they not referring to checking biometrics, etc?
thanks for link, v interesting. is this good or bad? I expect they may have wanted guidance on the previous conviction then?

Welcome on board.
would you like to share with us on what bases you applied for EEA fp i.e. married, unmarried
also on what grounds your EEA fp was refused?

Dear Mr

I can confirm that the EEA Family Permit has been issued.

You should receive the DHL envelope today. You can track the delivery on the DHL website.

Many thanks,

waiting for the email reply since last Thursday.....wrote WorldBridge today again regarding any update but got the same old answer:

"In regards to your question, we would like to let you know that due to the nature of your request it is being escalated for detailed research. Please be informed that we understand the importance of your issue, and we strive to respond as quickly and thoroughly as possible."

I believe Spanish Worldbridge is more cooperative as they provided contact details of visa section as well but in Germany....

any update from Germany...

Yes, the permit is niiiiice and shiny!!! (DHL sent it to Seville, 500km from Madrid even though we live 5km from embassy, so we only got it this morning!!)

Listen, Worldbridge replied to me each time within 24 hours but we got a response from the Madrid British Consulate (directly) when we called Worldbridge. That is when I was just able to email the consulate once I had their email. I strongly advise you call them and pay the equivalent of 14 dollars which is what I did.

Best of luck. Let us know.

By the way, in the packet we just received original documents back along with passport and family permit in it. No letter from the Visa Section at the Consulate. I guess then there is only a letter if it is a refusal? Or maybe this is just the Madrid way...

got another reply from Worldbridge:

"
Dear xxxx

Thank you for your email. Your application has been processed. Your documents will be returned to you shortly.

Regards

UK Visa Section
"

mail was forwarded to us by Worldbridge rather than UK Visa Section....
Worldbridge site still showing the same status "Arrived at the visa section"

anybody knows how long it takes approximately from this point to the delivery of documents?

Why do you think it will be refused? What exactly is your application?

Well, despite the fact that I have a good masters qualification for which I got confirmation in January, and everything is okay except the fact that I could not meet the 90 days maintenance funds thingy because they stopped the PSW thing on April 6, although I did provide so many papers proving my financial ability. I did have that much money in the bank but not in the past 90 days.. my father has a company, I provided his bank account showing $50,000 and more, and a letter from the bank saying that he is ready to support me for up to $100,000 and so on.. the application fee itself for this visa was $800 .. But I know a sponsor letter from parents doesn't work in the case of the PSW visa and thats why I think it will be refused although I don't understand why I have to stay without my passport for over a month now...

Hi sevakian,

you didn´t apply for an EEA-FP, but for a student visa, right?

This thread is only for EEA-FP though. Just to let you know.

Regards to lovely Beirut (or whereever you are),
Christian

I was informed by the UK Visa Section yesterday that the application has been processed...........But nothing happened (neither status changed nor any information with worldbridge) even at the end of today's working day.

Does anyone know the procedure from this point?

I received my FP today. It tool like 3 weeks. I was very worried about it though. You can find how I applied if you look here.

I am really thankful to people that gave me advice in here and read my posts. I learned a lot about immigration stuff by simply asking my questions here and I was somehow incentivized to look up for stuff for other people's cases.

I really recommend reading through this website once you decide to move around in EU. Ask your questions honestly and clearly and be sure you will get very good comments.

Best of Luck. meea.
