The only thing i done was gave a bakaraa for sadqa... to feed the poor people I asked my hubby to go to those peoples houses that are poor and
he is not related too.

Before i had done another one for when we first applied for the visa but that went to all local people and his family too, this time i wanted it too go to real poor people as some family members are not that poor.

I haven't thought about giving anything for the birth of my child the only thing i do is put money the a jar then when it gets filled i give it to the mosque or my father to give to a poor person in Pakistan.

Yeh my wife did ielts. The result came 14 days posted to her address and via text. The only delay was getting an early ielts test, its very popular due to student visa etc.

Any English translation service in your town in Pakistan will do. What you need to ensure is that the details are correct. You'll need it attested by a person of official standing, in our case the town Notary.

If you want to translate it yourself, you can, in fact maybe you should, but you should make sure it's attested.

Also make sure you union council registers the marriage on the computer. Go to them yourself, don't get your family to do it, go there yourself and tell them, put it on the computer. Make sure you do this, it will cover all bases in terms of proving it is a legal marriage. Once on the computer system, they will give you a marriage certificate, which you need to submit with the application.

King, when you say attested can this be done by a lawyer.

i got married on the 15/4/12, my father in law got the nikkah name translated into english and registered with the union council. i heard before that you need to have the name and address written on the back of the translation of the person who translated it. are you saying now that i need to get someone like a lawyer from pakistan to attest it?
