Can an Applicant first book for fingerprint via internet?

A friend need to make an application in 5 weeks time. can she book the finger print well ahead?

No, it can’t be done in advance for either PEO or postal applications.

If she applies at one of the PEOs, her Biometrics will be taken the same day (as long as there are no IT ISSUES).

For postal applications, applicant is told by UKBA (after they receive the application and process it) to enrol his/her biometrics at one of the PEOs or nominated post offices.
