Tax Credit

I recently got ILR, today i phoned Tax credit department to claim tax credit as i am only earning £300-£400 Per month and i have wife and daughter with me , wife is no recourse to public fund,daughter is 2 year old born in uk,
they ask how many hours weekly i am working , i replied 10hrs per week ,i told them my wife is no recourse to public fund,

They calculated and said i am entitle to £62 per week,is it correct? can i get more

Any help Guidance

Sounds about right as that's the maximum you can get in child tax credit for one child who is not disabled. It would almost double your income so can't be bad. You can work it out here

you will not eligible for working tax credits if you are only working 10 hours per week.

You should claim child benefit though.

You may eligible for housing benefit or council tax benefit but you can only claim this at the single persons rate if your wife and daughter have no recourse to public funds.
