English Language Requirement - Right Format (?)

Post by lanr3e » Thu Nov 30, 2006 9:28 am

Hello,
I got a letter from my university confirming that my B.Sc was taught in English. This is the format of the letter:

Letter of Attestation for Mr XXX

This is to confirm that the above named person attended the university of XXX between 1995 and 1999

He/She obtained a B.Sc(Hons) in XXX in the Second Class Upper division during the 1998/1999 academic seesion.

This is also to certify that English Language is the medium of instruction at the University of XXX

Kindly render assistance to Mr XXX based on the information provided above.

Thank you

Registrar

Although the letter contains all the information the home office requires in a rather subtle way (i.e Name, Qualification obtained, Year of Award and the English Lang requirement)....but I am just a little concerned that the Home Office might prove to be nut head like they have just displayed with the recent changes to the HSMP.

What do u guys think of the contents?

I remember some formats on the group saying "full time" student in the university might be required in the letter.

Thanks for all your contributions....I think paramjit is right, there is no where in the guidelines that suggests that all degrees must be obtained under Full-time mode....as long as the degree is equivalent to UK degree.

From your responses, I am assured that there is no problem with the letter...so i guess I have to wait and see what the HO has to say.
