Overseas earning but living inside UK

Post by linkarif » Sat May 12, 2012 10:29 am

Hi,

My query is regarding tier-1 general visa extension due in 3 months time,

I am showing a total earning of £40,000.

I am inside UK and also work as software developer for overseas companies.

I have earned £20,000 within UK.

I have earned £21,000 for my services abroad but only spend one month outside UK and came back in UK after a month.Money earned for overseas work is for six months. Can I include this income as I remained in UK and worked from UK to overseas companies.

looking for your help in this regard and any success story.

I will appreciate if some UKBA immigration rules reference is provided.

Best wishes.

See the policy guidance pt 108.[/quote]

Thank you adityak77 for your reply which is very useful and it is encouraging.

On the other hand policy does not clearly state that money earned after leaving country will be accepted.

I would appreciate a detail comment.

best wishes

Good Morning

I am highly thankful Sushil_ACCA and Silent warrior for your replies.

Gentlemen what are the required documents for overseas income?

Please comment in detail.

I have bank statement and official letter from company that confirm earned money and tax amount any other documents please comment?

The money earned overseas eligible for points will be after tax or before tax?

Best wishes

There are many ways you can show evidence. You might want to glance through Tier 1 General Guidance Notes especially points 105-114, which more or less describes what kind of bank statements you can produce and what Tax documents will be considered. In some cases what necessary information should they carry when using combination of both
Yes, your salary would be considered before tax but after conversion into UK pounds.
