Shoaib it is very important to have you nikah nama registered because if it is not done then there is nothing to say you are officially married as registering the nikah nama is registering you marriage in any specific country and ukba will look for confirmation for registered marriage to overcome sham marriage. the main purpose of the marriage registeration is the marriage is recognised in the court of law/ and in accordance with islam if u dont register it you will have a prob,

if you dont theres no proof u actually got married because the nikah nama is not a recognised document by ukba if it is not registered according to the country marriage registration laws meaning pakistani marriage laws.
Hide & Seek's visa was granted and he said he never registered his Nikkah Nama so there is a glimpse of hope but it can go either way.

Hi. Can anyone tell me after how much time do you get your A1 test result and original certificate? I gave my test on 28th April. It's been 17 days and I'm still waiting for it.

Ilets general

Post by Dshah » Tue May 15, 2012 7:25 pm

Aoa

I need some info for my younger bro, on the English test requirements,
Is Ielts general acceptable for a spouse visa application?
If so does anyone know of a test centre which is approved by ukba in Islamabad?
And what's the minimum score required to pass?

i have taken english language test in islamabad. i 'll never recommend ielts for spouse visa bcoz in ielts u need to obtain 4.5 bands in each modules which somtimes is very hard to obtain. i 'll prefer bulats as this is a computer based test & u only need 10 marks out of 100. terminology of this test is business oriented but for spouse visa i 'll suggest every body to go for bulats as u don't need to wait for long dates. i booked my test on 10th of february & my date was 12th of february. it's quick & it's easy & fee is same. bulats testing center in islamabad is grafton college islamabad. it's next to comsats university. if u still wanna go for ielts then i m sorry i don't have any information bcoz i m not from islamabad. lolzzzz.
tc & MAY ALLAH BLESS U.

the time frame for result is 21 working days, but it normally comes in 17 or 18 days & beauty of the test is that they 'll give u result of listening & reading result at the spot & speaking & writing 'll come after 21 days. MAY ALLAH BLESS U.

It was on the UKBA website that the Nikkah Nama has to be attested by a Union council before you submit your visa.

Seeing as the visa has already been submitted there is nothing you can do now apart from pray for the best that the visa is granted due to a mistake which can not be rectified now.
I'm going to make it very simple everyone as you're all confusing yourselves.

You need the following 3 docs to satisfy that it is a legal marriage:

1. Original Nikah Nama in Urdu - Stamped by the Union Council (if it's stamped it's registered).

2. Nikah Nama English Translation - Attested by Notary or Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

3 - The NADRA Marriage Registration Certificate - The UC will know how to do this, go to them yourselves and tell them you need this, they'll do it for you, you just make sure all the details are correct, if they are not, get them corrected.

That's what you need, nothing else.
