Visit visa Parents - Do I need to have 6 months on my visa?

Need your valuable advice.

I am due for my Tier 1 extension on Nov 19th.

Meanwhile, I am planning to bring my parents on a family visit visa. They have been here a few years back once.

Apparently, is it mandatory that I should have at least six months left on my visa when I apply for a visit visa for them?
