I hope it will be a good news but will know only when my niece collects on Thursday if the status changes to "Ready for collection".
Since it's delhi I expect it to change by tomorrow.

I will keep you guys posted. Pazpatel, Kelvian, Deena and all who are end of feb and beginning of march should hear by end of this week ( I hope).
Thanks and this forum is great. Again you guys will hear any updates from my side as soon as it changes.
I also feel that this week should be more active than last two weeks and am with Pazpatel on this.
Thanks
That's brilliant news...... Everything is crossed for you. Keep us posted, I think you should be ready for collection tomorrow..... All crossed for you. Are you counting the working days from under process date and taking away the bank holidays?

All crossed for you!

Status now changed to "Ready for Collection"

Please note there was a strike last week for a day in UKBA and a bank holiday so the process would have been slower than usual.
Will keep you guys posted.

Congratulations to Deena and Dani123 for your status changes. I am sure it will be a visa stamped for 27 months or more once you open it. You guys truly deserve the wait and i am really happy for you both.

@Pazpatel and @Kalvian: I have a feeling that your status is also going to change soon and i am looking forward to a post from you guys by the end of this week or the next giving good news. My prayers are with everyone who are waiting for their replies.

@Pazpatel: I applied on 12th April at VFS center Hyderabad and my status changed to Application under process on the 16th April. Its been 5 weeks till date and no change in status yet. I really hope they clear all the feb and march applications in the next two weeks so i can hear some goon news soon.

Guys,

in the meantime u all r waiting, wld like to suggest u something...

ask ur partners in India to get International Driving Permit if they have Full Driving License there.. as this will help them to drive for a max of 1 year without the UK DL and in the meantime, whn they arrive gere, they can apply for Provisional DL and thn Full DL...

hope that helps :)

Thanks Lucy, its really necessary as they might get the need of driving sometime or the other. I have a Full UK driving license but i will have to take refresher course when I get back to UK as driving in India for over a year has made my driving rusty(you know what i mean :lol:)

Super like!!! I got my wife to get her driving licence which she got about 3 months ago, but I also highly advise this! Its so expensive to learn here. 1 year driving in uk will go along way while they get use to the roads here.

Also on that subject we been told once you have a Visa that's when u go to office to get international licence. How does it work do you know? How long does it take too to get the international licence?

@Walimeer,

yes plz u wld hardly need 5 driving lessons to brush up skills... i can imagine indian driving....lol

International License is valid for one year only.

@pazpatel,

http://india.gov.in/howdo/howdoi.php?service=6

u r right that u will need the visa for that.. i wld suggest to find someone who works in local RTO as this wld b really helpful in getting in a day...or else they might just take ages...

@Pazpatel: from what i have heard is that you can get the international driving license within one day. A friend of mine once got it from the RTA and it only took him a day. He submitted the application in the morning and they called him again in the afternoon and issued him the license. He said they took three hour time between morning and afternoon to get his license ready. But you can only use your driving license once for the first entry and you cannot get it renewed a year later on the same visa.

He said they took three hour time between morning and afternoon to get his license ready. But you can only use your driving license once for the first entry and you cannot get it renewed a year later on the same visa.
Thanks Ali & Lcuy..... Lets get the stamp and im sure the next day (after all the excitment) the wife will get down to the RTO, Lucky we actually know someone in the RTO in her town so all good....

Any news anyone? Have either of you guys picked up your passports yet?
Visa granted!! Thank you and Gud luck pazpatel :-) eager to hear from you.
