complicated issue

I came to uk in 1995 having student visa till end of 2005 renewed on time with no gap, but failed to apply for ILR (10 year) on time (applied end 2006)...for a reason it took the HO 3 years to accept..received my ILR on 10/2009...also, I got married to a Britishcitizen may 2009..and have a daughter, when can I apply for citizenship...3 years from my wedding day or 3 years from my ILR date...

I applied through a solicitor...who failed to send the application on time..the HO obviously didnt accept that,kept my paper and passport..and on 10/2009.send me the ILR.
