Just got message from my wife, recieved text n status changed
Blue dart is delivering the passport
Currently in clinic so will know more update in evening

Thanks Ali & Lcuy..... Lets get the stamp and im sure the next day (after all the excitment) the wife will get down to the RTO, Lucky we actually know someone in the RTO in her town so all good....

Any news anyone? Have either of you guys picked up your passports yet?

Status now changed to "Ready for Collection"

Please note there was a strike last week for a day in UKBA and a bank holiday so the process would have been slower than usual.

I hope it will be a good news but will know only when my niece collects on Thursday if the status changes to "Ready for collection".
Since it's delhi I expect it to change by tomorrow.

I will keep you guys posted. Pazpatel, Kelvian, Deena and all who are end of feb and beginning of march should hear by end of this week ( I hope).

@Pazpatel: from what i have heard is that you can get the international driving license within one day. A friend of mine once got it from the RTA and it only took him a day. He submitted the application in the morning and they called him again in the afternoon and issued him the license. He said they took three hour time between morning and afternoon to get his license ready. But you can only use your driving license once for the first entry and you cannot get it renewed a year later on the same visa.

Yes my niece picked it today and wife got the visa for 27 months. Hopefully my wife will fly on 28th May.

Advice: plz keep all ur docs safe wid u in handbag as u might need them anytime at the airport.. also get ur chest x-ray done as they will ask u at the airport... n plz flip on the pages on this forum for the questions asked as they might ask u at the airport..

Hi,

I have applied Settlement visa for me and my child in VFS Chennai on March 30th. The Status has remained the same and it states : Your Visa Application has been forwarded to the British High Commission.

However I was called for re-biometrics on April 25th and the status still remains the same and not changed .

Anybody else who have applied for the settlement visa around that time and has any updates , please post ...

Thats weird as usually it changes withina few days to Under Process..... Not sure about that, but might be a good idea to contact VFS first not BHC. Might be normal. Mine changed from "been forwarded" to "under process" within 3 days.

@sk2912: You should email the VFS office at Chennai and inquire about your visa application. My status changed on the next working day from "documents submitted" to "Under Process"

I don't know if anyone have noticed but on the UKBA website when you go to UKBA in India and look up for processing time, the data has been updated to show applications in March 2012. That means that they must have processed every application they have received in March or at least from Hyderabad otherwise they would not have put up any statistics on their website.

I and my wife are from Hyd and she applied at Hyd and previous data by UKBA stated Hyd applications for settlement were processed bit quickly i think 20% decisions were made in 7days and 40% in 30 days.

As you applied in Apr, i sincerely hope you get it soon by next month

I dont think they change every three month because the last statistic on there was for Feb2012 which would have been dec2011 if it was to be three months. or do you mean to say it was feb2012 for the last three months?
