Ilr Long Residency 10 Years.. Advise Needed

Post by RANA-ALI » Sat May 19, 2012 2:43 am

i will really appreciate any advice or suggestions from any member of this form, I would also request senior members and mods to shed some light on this issue.
i m on psw right now ..the problem is my psw visa will expire 41 days prior to my completion of 10 years long residence eligibility……i read through the guidance and I know it says that one could apply 28 days before the 10 anniversary… according to this I am still 13 days short of my qualifying time, what should I do……I m very much stressed and frustrated with this situation. I am confuse…. I b really thankful for any advice and suggestions,…..hope u can understand my frustration...…..no gaps in this time period so far…thanks for reading…
Regards
Ali

Apply shortly before leave expires. If you are eligible at the date of the decision, then you should be ok.

Hi Ali!

Try contacting a solicitor and ask him/her if it is possible to apply for further leave, by any means, you will only be short of 13 days, I might be wrong, but I think if you apply for further leave, that should give you enough time to reach your 10th year, by this you can apply for ILR, it may cost you alot more money, but I think, it is the safest way, I maybe totally wrong.... Others on the forum maybe able to shed some light on your situation.
GOOD LUCK

vinny do u have any idea that how long does a application take to get to case worker, i m only asking bcoz u r moderator here and u probably come acorss people success stories under 10 year and there time lines... i have click on the ur link but to be honest didnt quite get that ....i will read that through again.... vinny have u ever heard some one getting ILR in same situation as mine...?
love is lovely i have ask one of the solicitor and he said that i should apply for ILR , as its only matter about couple of week and by the time applicatioon get to the right person u shud be ok ,it wasnt a detail discusion with him, my concerns are...if i apply early do u think H.O could return the application as invalid?ofcourse at the time of decision they can c that i have made this early application. do u think that do i stand a chance as there was no gaps in my stay.....
btw its not due till next year...i am already streesed..hope u can understand....just wanted to b prepare for it before time...
can i apply for my wife application same time? she is been living uk since 2009 her visa will be expire same time as me,which application should i make for her if i am sending mine for ilr?...
if i dont take risk and only apply extension and during waiting time for decision, can i make application for ILR? thanks for ur time :)
