Address/ ID proof to receive BRP's??

Post by ferryahmed82 » Mon May 21, 2012 10:04 am

Hello there

I have got 2 questions.

1) Does the BRP for dependent comes separately? I mean in separate envelope?

2) Does the dependent or main applicant has to show his/her address proof/ID proof to DX secure guys to receive BRP envelopes? If yes, what a person can show if the only picture ID is passport, which is already submitted to UKBA?

Thanks

Yes, dependent's BRP comes in separate envelop/delivery.

You can show the bank statement on same name or passport.

Does it have to be a picture ID or any address proof will work? like phone bill, NHS card?

Not sure about phone bill and NHS, When I received mine, I left my bank statement with my room mate to collect the parcel and it worked.

lets wait n see what other senior members say abt this.

You don't need any proof to collect the BRP if you are collecting the letter in person. At least in my case my wife was able to collect the BRP's without any ID proof.

I was asked for an ID when my BRP was delivered to my home address (The envelope itself had a sticker saying "ID required"). I showed my driving licence, but what they looked at was just the name & address.
