can some one clarify this please,
For eligibility of 10 years long stay ilr visa, will students be considered as well.?
EX: if one is a student for the first 5 years and then the next five years in any tier 1 or 2 visas, will this person is eligible for this visa..?

yes after 10 year ur entitled for ILR in any condition legal or illegal

Any legal catergory/leave may be included under the 10-year long residence rules.

Illegal stay may be considered under the 14-year long residence category.

As vinny suggested, if you have a mix of legal and illegal stay, then you will fall in 14-year long residence category.
