Need Help- MN1 Form

Post by Umesh2211 » Tue May 22, 2012 10:16 pm

Hi all
Me and my wife just got ILR and i am going to apply for my son ( born in UK) for British citizenship by using Form MN1.

Which are the documents we have to submit?

Is there any other method of submitting application apart from the Post?

Any answers will be appreciated....

Thanks

Hi Shshdmehta & Jambo
Thank you very much for your reply...
It really helped me.
Can you help me for my 3 questions please?

1. Do we need to send passports and BRP card both or just BRP Card ?

2. Can I just send my wife's BRP and/ Passport or i have to send mine as well? Because just incase i will need to travel urgently.

3.If second one of the referee one of the friend's friend- over 25 and British Citizen. Will they consider.

Please give me any suggestions....
Thanks

1. Good question. As ILR BRP are new, I don't know what the policy is. I would imagine that BRP is enough but you will need to check with the HO to find out. And please let us know what they say.
2. One parent documentation is enough for a UK born child.
3.If he knows you for the required time and is happy to act as referee, then yes.

With regards to the fees, children don't attend a ceremony so there is no need to pay for it. Just the application fee.
