why include so many redundant docs, like address proof, UK experience proof ? it will only prolong the consideration time

take them with you if it makes you happy, but don't give them to case worker unless asked for

Even same with my P60s, I will keep them seperately.

The extra bits would be with me but in a seperate folder simply because there has been cases, where the CW still has asked to see the degree cert or marriage cert even though those were furnished in the initial appl.

if u do a search in this forum, you will see many such cases. The main folder will have all that you mentioned which I will hand over to CW. In case he/she asks for something more, then I will need to make sure I have them with me + the photocopies as I can't go home then and take them neither go out to a local branch!!

Hope you understand now, why I am keeping extra stuffs!!

Its good to carry all documents, But submit only whats required. If CW asks for more docs you can always show and clarify his/her doubts.

The current application form has £533 as maintenance fund for dependant which would be £600 if applied after 14th June 2012.

Anyone has any update whether UKBA will definitely update the application form on 14th June to say £600 instead of £533 where the main application has stayed in UK for more than 12 months?

I do not want to waste time taking prints and filling it out and then again doing the same on 14th and secondly printing 64 pages is not a matter of joke :)

Any update guys?

Which period should I claim?(a bit confused with the dates)

Post by tapas_16880 » Thu May 24, 2012 10:22 am

Guys - May sound stupid. I was reading PEO experiences and people face difficulties and even kicked out of PEO because of the period they had claimed. Seems there are confusion about the 1 year claiming period.

I will put my situation and will let you guys choose the 12 months period for me. Even though it can be any 12 consecutive months from the last 15 months, I will still want to have the most recent statement within a month of my PEO appointment.

My appointment: 26th June (Birmingham)
First employer period: 07th Feb 2011 to 23rd Feb 2012
First employer paydate: 20th of each month
Second employer period: 27th Feb 2012 to till date
Second employer paydate: 18th of each month

For the paydates, as u all know if 18th or 20th is weekend, then it paid in the previoud working days.

Now, can u guys please tell me which 12 months period I should claim (with exact dates) & the bank statements and payslips?

I had chosen Bank statements from 20th June 2011 to 19th June 2012 but not sure considering the paydates mentioned above, it is a good period.

Please help guys!

If this period June 11 - June 12 shows only salaries for 11 months and you get the necessary points using salary for 11 months don't bother about claiming the 12th month.

You are exceeding the 12 month period June 11 to June 12.
June 11 to May 12 is the one to use

Please read OP's post carefully before posting. He is claiming a period from 20th June 2011 to 19th June 2012.

QuickSam,

I did read the OP 's post.. The CW will consider payslips from July 11 to June 12 which is correct.

I have a similar case where I get paid 4 weekly with my previous employer.

There are cases posted by other forum members where a pay period from April 11 to April 12 was not considered. April 11 to March 12 was only considered . Technically its within the 12 month period but it depends on the CW unless you explain and can get points for the 11 month claim period.

Thats all.

I haven't yet got the response and still not clear.... So, can I do this then?

P.S: 'Full' below means from 1st to 30th or 31st......

Full May 2012
Full April 2012
Full March 2012
Full Feb 2012
Full Jan 2012
Full Dec 2011
Full Nov 2011
Full Oct 2011
Full Sep 2011
Full Aug 2011
Full July 2011
Full June 2011

So - Period is from 1st June 2011 to 30th May 2012 (I believe this is 12 months now).

And the payslips will be from June 2011's payslips to May 2012's payslips (which is again 12 months)

Please confirm if this is perfect now??
