Hi Himate,

The address that you gave is for the documents sent by the regular post.
To send it by courier you have to send it at the address that I mentioned.

This may piss you off but i think this address was mentioned in the section in direct relation to HSMP extensions. Historically only postcode addresses have been used for hsmp. also in the beginnnig of the guidance document the postcode address is mentioned as the PAYMENT CENTRE ADDRESS... I dont see any UK gov. guy lifting a finger before getting paid..and hence i make the case for the postal address whereas considering the courier address as a grammatical mistake where they should have specified the word " for extensions"

Yes i know.. now you are pissed off...by the apparent confusion i created. But be a good boy or girl and call up WP guys to verify.. will u ?

Hi Umesh,

So if one wishes to send the documents by courier, then which is the right address?

Bruv, i wouldnt bet my last ruppee on it... but i believe

work permits(UK) HSMP
PO BOX 3975
Sheffield
S1 9BL
is the right address for both by post and by courier as given in the beginnning of the guidance notes else they would have definitely mentioned the other address as well in the beginnning itself next to this one.. as an option

I think the other address mentioned in guidance notes was only for extensions or FLRs.... as it was mentioned in a point next to the point covering correspondence address for extensions. Perhaps moderator can comment... Or If you have access to cheap calls... best you call up WP or fax or email or clarify...

Sorry if i confused you... but the whole thing can be read either way !

Hi Umesh,

I dont think the courier company will deliver at the post box number.
Only the regular post would do that.

More over the "Balm Green" address that I gave is given on the page no. 19 under the other details section of HSMP guidance for applicants.
There you can see some information under various paras.
I continue to believe the right addess for the courier delivery for the HSMP new application is

Immigration & Nationality Directorate
Work Permit (UK) HSMP
7th Floor,
Fountain Precinct
Balm Green,
Sheffield
S1 2JA

According to Highly Skilled Migrant Programme - Frequently Asked Questions.

http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... p_faq.html?

11. Where do I send the completed application form and how?

Initial applications should NOT be sent directly to the HSMP team.

Application forms should be sent to our payment-processing site at the following address:

By Post:

Work Permits (HSMP)
P.O. Box 3975
Sheffield
S1 9BL

By Courier:

Work Permits (HSMP)
7th Floor
Fountain Precinct
Balm Green
Sheffield
S1 2JA

Well yes... thats what the FAQs on the site indicate and so i do believe that the address are correct. I hadn't seen the FAQs earlier and based on the guidance documents only , i did find the address issue confusing
