Just marriage..what next? which documents do i need?

Post by setMyasin » Sat May 26, 2012 6:46 pm

Hi my brother just got married from Pakistan. We are planning to call her wife here in UK on marriage visa. I've heard there a lot of new changes now. Can anyone kindly help me which documents does my brother need? he is currently the manager of our business.

Your help will me much appreciated. Thank you very much

So far we got the following documents:

1. Latest P60 form
2. last 6 months wages slips
3. Sponsorship from my brother
4. Photographs of wedding
6. Phone bills

So far we got the following documents:

3. Sponsorship from my brother
4. Photographs of wedding
6. Phone bills
Well your brother will need to send the following documents
1. Sponsorship Undertaking
2. Sponsorship declaration
3. Certified copy of present passport
4. Certified copy of previous passport
5. Pay slips
6. Bank statements
7. P60
8. House inspection report/Accommodation report
9. Office copies of land register
10. Phone bills and other evidence of communication email, greeting cards etc
11. Photographs

Your brother's wife will need the following documents
1. Original Nikhanama (Attested)
2. English Translation of Nikhanama (Attested)
3. NADRA marriage registration certificate
4. TB test certificate
5. English test certificate A1

I might have missed something but these are the essential documents required for a spouse visa.

Soon they are going to change the law where husband/wife(sponsors) will need to earn 25,700 pounds per year to call their foreign partners.

There's been no confirmation yet as to whether the income level for Spouse settlement visa will change.

Hi Brother thank you very much for ur kind detailed reply. Ive got couple of questions, in my time 3 years ago i gave phone cards as per my communication with the mrs. Now you stated they want phone bills. Will they not accept phone cards? Or is phone bills a must?

Also the new income of £25k i hope they dont bring this in LOL

I see you have submitted your application on 25th of this month, how long did they say it will take to process?

Thanks brother..
