Regarding certificates

Post by krishnakishore » Fri Dec 08, 2006 2:47 pm

If I am claiming a masters degree sending the masters degree is enough? or do I need to send my B.Tech degree? Do I need to send my marks cards or only University Degree?

Thanks,
Kishore

you can only apply for (1) degree. so for you that would be MASTERS not BA.

if you can supply your orginal degree certificate than that's all you need to supply.

if you cannot- you need to supply your transcript (mark sheet) & letter from uni stating that you earned this degree on thsi date.

Is it mandatory?

Post by krishnakishore » Fri Dec 08, 2006 3:54 pm

Is it mandatory to get the certificates verified by NARIC? As BITS is one of the highly reputed institutes I didn't think of it. Please advice?

Thanks,
Kishore

Hi,

The new HSMP guidance notes, hints to get the overseas degree evaluation by NARIC. so in order to get the education points one must get
the NARIC (Evaluation)

In your case, BITS is reputed, that we know sitting here in India, but the case worker assigned to your case is not aware of anything. He/She has to work as per the rule books.

Suggestion is to get the NARIC evaluation.

Dont think it is mandatory..but still advisable for sure shot points...

If we dont attach NARIC report, case worker on there own contact NARIC.

If NARIC is whole judge of education, why don't u present ur case to NARIC first...Just case of 30 pounds...but u have sure shot 35 points in ur bucket :P

Thanks for all your replies. Now I am worried to send with out NARIC at the same time worried about NARIC processing time of 15days.

Is it mandatory for NARIC to send transcripts also? I have the original degree but transcripts I don't know where they are :(

Hi

I suggest dont bother much about NARIC..send ur final degree certificate and other required things to NARIC...

BITS is very reputed, it will be in the NARIC list, so Whenever caseworker will contact them, u will have positive outcome...

Go ahead...
