Urgent: Overdue Tax and Naturalisation

Post by oxion10 » Thu May 31, 2012 3:57 pm

Hi Gurus and Senior Members,

I was doing two jobs in 2009 and 2010 but somehow actual tax was not deducted. I left one job in May 2010 and got a letter in Jan 2011 that I need to pay £647 more tax and therefore they wrote to my employer to change my Tax code for 2011-2012. I paid tax according to new code but unfortunately I lost my job in Dec 2011. I started new part time job in March 2012 and HMRC wrote to my new employer to use another tax code so that remaining tax could be deducted.

Would this underpaid tax make negative affect on my naturalisation application?

Sorry for long story. I would appreciate for your advice.

Thank you so much.
