How long will it take for money to be processed? i am assuming they are working on 28th april as they hve already sent us letter asking payment. when do you think it will go back to dhuabi?

i think a member of this forum paid it online. it seems the quickest way for the payment to get processed. this could be due as it goes straight into their account. you may need to phone them or email them with the payment reference number.

i could be wrong. maybe king can give you some advice on how he did this!!

Thank you for your reply.
I have just spoken to couple regarding 3000 rupee fee. I have been told there
was a solicitor there who took the fee and their documents for inspection.
I think they are going to get an appointment on Wednesday to submit their online application.
Although the couple got married in Pakistan in December 2011, the husband of my friend was an overstayer in the UK.
The wife is a British subject, she met her husband in the UK and fell inlove with him. On discovering that he was an overstayer, she decided to do the right thing and asked him to leave the country on voluntary basis. She later married him in Pakistan and now applying for him to come over as her husband.
She is aware of the fact that there will be a slight tweak in this application, there is likelihood that he will be refused and the case might have to go to appeal. Comments welcomed

They went to Gerry's at the Lahore branch yesterday where they were
charged 3000 rupees for inspection of their papers. They were told that an agent would look at their documents and ring them for an appointment next Tuesday.
Having read on the forum here that Gerry's office is closed on Monday and Tuesday, I advised my friends that they should contact the agent and request an appointment for Wednesday or Thursday.
Can someone who has been through the procedure advise whether the agent at Gerrys should have given them a date for appointment there and then as the couple is based in Faisalabad.
I have read elsewhere that there should be no charge for the appointment, so where does this figure of 3000 rupees come from.
Thanks in advance
hey i may be wrong but as far as i know hubby never had to pay anything at gerrys other tjan the application fee...he only paid an additional 200 rupees for the text alert servixe and thats optional...and ive never heard of them sending people back to come another day after taking money from them :?

Please note normally appointments are free but however if you want a better service at Gerrys then pay the 3000 ruppees for the Premium Lounge service.

This is why the 3000 has been taken but however you can get this appointment there and then at the office.

I hope this information is of help to you.

Thanks

Hi, right firstly if you pay on their website you will just need to add in the appeal number and pay £140...
You will recieve an email confirming payment forward that back to customer services with your first 4 digits and the last 4 digits of your card
and the name the card is registered in.
Send all that back then they will be able to locate your appeal and get it sent of. They have a massive back log I know that. your probably looking at a date in april for the ECM to give an answer.
Not all appeals go to Abu, it depends what the post ref: if it state abu then yes it will go back there if it has Islamabad then i think it will come here to an ecm then sent back to pakistan..
I had my appeal go in on the 19th and im still waiting

Pay them online if you can, if they've given you this option, it is the fastest, so use it. If not then post it to them, include the key details if you do and you'll know it's been process when your bank account is £140 lighter.

As for how long they take, it's evident that it's quicker to do everything online, as mines is already all done, but the paper applicants are still waiting. My estimate, you'll have it sent off to the EMC withitn 14 days of you paying.

I think even that it is quicker online. i think thats only if its done as you did king. new member's is different its like mine. So i told them exactly what i had to do but hopefully you are right it will take about 14 days as they have to match up payments but if they send of proof as i suggest before hopefully it will get done quicker.

Dont stress your self before time and even after time.
its only a matter of days now.
things will turn quickly after these holidays.
however i cant assure and its not accurate that its going to take one more week or 4 weeks, but by the end of the day they will contact the applicants to collect their documents.

to all readers as several times quoted and requested, please be humble this wait is worth doing at the end.
there are several people here who silently scratch every single post and waiting patiently to see good outcome, but referred here and before earlier do not create panic for your self which will cause troubles for others.

just discuss if any issue is related to your application that is on its way to be submitted, or leave the rest if you are already on the wait list, you cant do anything once the application has been submitted.

pray and recite for the betterment.

tnt4ever,

I think going back to last october doesnt explain why you guys are having to wait this year.

I think going back 8 months is like a life time in the case of BHC. Most peple want to know what is happening now and how to get an answer from BHC as to why there is a back log

tnt4ever - actually, it will go even slower after the holidays. why? because saturday and sunday are holidays and monday and tuesday are bank holidays and the queens jubilee. this slows the process down even more and causes more of a back log.

i understand people trying to be optimistic but this whole 'next week we should here something i hope' does not really do us any good as no one knows and the only thing we do know is the BHC are really slow and far behind. so bad they are not even responding to emails!

delays delays delays.

There are several reasons why they are taking alot of time these days with the applications.

-- Huge volume of applicants due to age change in Nov 2011
-- Priority given to Visitor visas due to olympics
-- Due to the propasals of maintenance law changing many people are applying now as it will be impossible to apply with new maintenance threshold
-- In pakistan Usually from Feb-April is classed as wedding season, peak period so hence more people applying
-- Backlog at the start of the year

Putting all those into consideration its possibly the reason why they are taking alot of time.
Imo i think majority will be given a response after 90 working days now.

Inshallah it will be sooner but i can't really see it. Alot of the feb lot including me are closing in on the 80 day mark now.

However do you not think these times might improve as I am unable to wait as every day is getting tougher and days are taking forever to pass lol.

In June, July & August there are so many holidays in Pakistan and UK now they will take forever. I think it is all about making money and not feeling for any other peoples lives. At least we can wait and see what happens. AHHHHHHHHH
