Payment details incomplete - dead worried!!!

Post by zchay3e » Fri Jun 01, 2012 1:33 pm

I hope someone could advise. We have sent an application for long residence for my friend on 3 May (visa expiring 4 May). To our disappointment, we discovered we did not include the expiry date of the debit card. We have received an acknowledgment letter on 17 May, but the fee has not been deducted yet (there are enough funds in the account). We are really concerned that the application will be returned as invalid, which means even if we reapply, we will not have the right of appeal (which we desperately need, as it is not a straightforward application). Please advise on what we should do? Could we contact them to provide a different payment method?

The application has not been rejected yet... is there anything we can do NOW? (apart from waiting)

Call UKBA and try to get routed to the person to whom your application has been assigned (if one has been). Check with him what to do and how.
UKBA helpline staff will most likely advise you to wait .... so to be put through the caseworker (if one has been assigned) may be key.

i would say just for a safe side .. just write a letter to UKBA croyden(lunar house) and explain all this, this will secure ur bk for sure.. ur friend could use his previous home office ref number(for identification purpose) as it remains the same(he can check it on all letters prevoiusly sent frm H.O, don't forget to send that letter by recorded delivry....
