HI ALL,

I got my EC stamped on 17 Oct 2006 due to some family occasions I am planning fly in first week of FEB 2007.
Means 3 months 13 days after my EC stampeded. Now I am confuse will this create any problem if fly late in UK :?: :?: :?:
Or in future extension :?: :?: :?:

Please Advice

If you've got 12 months visa, and if you are without a job (or offer) in UK - this could spell trouble for you. At the time of exension, you need to show last 8 months earning (of the 12 months) and there's a min. requirement too. So you MUST start earning as soon as you reach UK.

If you have 2 years visa, you'still have time to search for job (if you don't have one already).

Same Question

Post by HSMP holder » Wed Dec 13, 2006 12:59 am

I have the same type of question, but this time involving Indefinite Leave and extension. The rules state that in order to get an Indefinite leave, I must spend a continuous period of five yeas in the UK.

So unless I enter the UK under HSMP the day I receive the EC, it is impossible to gain that full five-year period becuase the maximum period for which the HSMP allows is five years. Am I right?

Although they may have allowance, but the rules are very unclear. Some say it's six months, and some say otherwise.

My worry is that if I get my EC today, and enter the UK four months later, and after five years from the date I got the EC (meaning today) I will have stayed in the UK for only 4 years and 8 months and it is impossible to get further extension under HSMP.

I am seeking clarification. Please advice.
