Previous Earning from Work - Questions from the HSMP1 form

Post by nnj10 » Thu Dec 07, 2006 3:49 pm

Dear All,

I guess the most difficult part of the HSMP1 form is the Section 1 part 3.
Previous earning form your work.
I have the following questions and need the advice.

Q. 28 Relevant Country Code?
The guidance notes does not specify the country code for any country.
From where do we enter this code?

Q. 30 The amount earned?
Should one convert the original income to GBP equivalent at the prevailing market rate on the last day of the salary?

Q. 31 Relevant Income band?
No clue from the guidance notes. Like for a person of the Band D country and having the income of GBP 7500+, What is the Income band?

Again, this section is most difficult as one has to produce two pieces of evidence for the earned income. And most of the applicants face the problme with the IT return.

If some body who got the points in this section can help thoroghly, would help all the HSMP applicants.

Thanks,
NNJ10

Hi All,

After doing a lot of search and skimming throgh the posts, I came out with the following conclusion.

Q. 28 Relevant Country Code?
This is A,B,C,D,E

Q. 30 The amount earned?
This is still an OPEN ITEM......

Q. 31 Relevant Income band?
This should be the amount earned like 7500+ for Band D country.

All, please respond to this, and help me fill up the response to Q. 30.
Those who are filling up the form now, please share your answers and your views on this.

At what rate we can show our eanring in GBP? Rate change everyday.

According to previous caseworker guide:

Converting the currency

The first step is to work out how much the applicant has earned over the 12 month period (from the evidence provided). If it is in a foreign currency the final calculated figure must be converted into British Pounds (£) to establish the amount of points to be awarded.

Useful currency conversion websites to use are:
www.oanda.com
www.geres.ge/currency/currcalc.html?lang=en
www.xe.com

Dear All,

I believe the answers are:

1) Country code: +91( If employed in india)
2) Earning country : India (If employed in india)
3) Amount earned : Earned income for the 12 months claiming ( In INR,if employed in india)
4) Earning band : Band D ( If employed in india)

Correct me if i am wrong.

Regards,
Sarat Babu

Hi Saratbabu,

The country code is D for India.
And the earning band is the earning in GBP (after conversion); like 7500+
The amount earned, should be in the GBP.
