any goverment funded organisation recieving high levels of complaints will have a lot to answer for. regardless of where those complaints are coming from. very similar thing happened to us where i work and despite the complaints mostly being down to very silly matters, it had a big impact on us as we did not respond to many emails in time as we had too many lazy people in our office.

what was the outcome? we were forced to change the guidlines so each agent must respond to a certain amount of correspondence on a daily basis and failure to do so must be explained in writing.

trust me, it makes a difference.
AOA mirpur,

I do agree that in most local/national government departments there are customer charters which they have to adhere to. I have worked in the IT sector since ’93, and have had SLA’S repeatedly quoted to me.

My point is that the number of members here applying from all four visa centres are experiencing the same delays, our friends in Indian visa centres as well and the Bangladeshi centres.

There is a concerted effort to bring down the monthly visas granted each month, to allow Cameron and May to say that their policies are working.

Once the new measures are implemented (higher level English tests, sponsor salary increase) these application levels will be halved if not quartered .

What is it you are suggesting the applicants complain about, they have stated they will process applications within 24 weeks (120 working days). Any enquiry before this gets the standard email reply to allow more time for processing. If your complaint is that there are delays, they will not accept this and say it is within normal processing times, remember they state
“This will show you how long it might take to process your application - it does not guarantee the processing time for your particular visa. Each visa application is assessed individually, and processing times may vary.”

I normally am very proactive when dealing with my own Council and do give them a hard time, but when it comes to the UKBA, there’s a totally closed box process, as security of their borders is paramount. Since 7/7 and the Manchester 6 and many other incidents it has made an impact on how applications are processed from the sub-continent.

I hope you are not offended by my remarks.

I will not comment further as we may be going off topic.

Salaam alaikum All

First of all i would like to say to Batleykhan.. you are doing a great job i appreciate your feedback, but actually what it says is that 95% of applications are dealt within 12 weeks or 60 days - 100% by 24 weeks or 120 days.(working days)

only way to look at it is simpler cases which me making a assumption would be within the first time frame., more complicated ones for the latter for when missing docs outrageous or seem to be outrageous claims.

so i may be wrong i was hoping i fall into the 95 percent.. ALSO NO ISSUE OF DELAYS ON THE WEBSITE DUE TO PRIORITISING.

none the less, i understand what the more knowledgeable people are saying its not a easy job..i think they should e-mail clients not hard if each ECO or helper has a list just a generic one.

huh...about all previous comments...but never mind
human nature is to be impatient , so no objections..

bdw i was waiting to see these 4 days( sat sun mon and tues) to be ended, and here i am, at least i am happy now to see that the last off day is on its way to be out of the wait line.

not surprisingly but to be very honest, it does not matter however they may take 120 days, i am here to see the best out come that ALLAH has decided for us.

hope this will resolve the issue

and people please stop doing all this, if u have issue just complaint and pm others who are interested, why eating heads here....which is use less,

many people are gone from here just because of this shit happened every day each time they came in.

moderator is yelling not to consume too much space and energy of other people, you can do brainstorming but first your own self...enjoy and three days are still there before next week...

i have a feeling my application will be returned within the same period and with others too...a +ve response

i think my views are different from some of the others here and we will have to agree to disagree. i still feel very strongly abuout what i say but we can all look at it differently.

im sure there are people who agree with my points and those that disagree.

whatever the issues are i hope we all get the desired outcomes.

i just wanted to know something is it possible that other people out there are still getting there within or abouts the 60 days and we are the select few?

Also when i mentioned before can someone explain ..

when i mentioned 95% get there visa decision within 12 weeks, does that mean ther other 5% or 5 percent will get it within 24 weeks?

i was only guessing complicated cases take longer? How Complicated could it get if you give the same doc's as most people there either legit or not

Hey guys

Please Stop arguing on a useless topic. We shud be helpful to each other which is the main purpose of this forum. But please guys dont impose your toughts on others. I am not here to fight wid everyone. But seriously guys we are mature people. Every body here must be older than 21 and have taken a very bid step. I understand this is the most stressful period of life. As alot of people mus have planned alot of activities. I know to be away from your spouses is a very difficult task but this must be taught before marriage as this is the neccessary part of this type of marriage.

Secondly guys its just a matter of luck and i personally think that its happening to us so we can value our spouses very well and we dont get proud and be away from bad attitude cos i have seen so many ppl changed after gettig visa.

And i also beleive that gud news for all of us is around the corner here.

So be patient. Pray to Allah and hope for the gud news

Yeah i think your reasoning is correct the other 5% must be the complicated cases.

Last year (Sep-Dec) majority of cases were getting replies within 4-8 weeks and the complicated ones were hitting the 12 weeks mark.

Imo and considering looking at the statistics, of this year, from the UKBA webby the tiny minute number of immaculate cases are granted visas just before the 12 week mark hits. Then you've got another category of good cases that still require checking, those are usually replied almost on the 12 week mark. After that maybe the complicated ones are replied after 12 weeks.
However saying that there are other factors to consider at the moment which could result in lack of response.

Anyhow people im sure we will hear something very soon. Like many other members state here i think it better to get yourself busy with something usefel such as Deen, Working out etc.. :)

Whilst it's healthy to have a debate on such issues, can we move on.

I suggest that we provide useful links for various websites, draft templates and compile a list of documents which are needed for spousal application. Then kindly ask the moderator to post these on the first few pages of this forum.

When I was helping a friend I had to spend lot of time looking for useful stuff in here. Just an idea. :D

Hi, right firstly if you pay on their website you will just need to add in the appeal number and pay £140...
You will recieve an email confirming payment forward that back to customer services with your first 4 digits and the last 4 digits of your card
and the name the card is registered in.
Send all that back then they will be able to locate your appeal and get it sent of. They have a massive back log I know that. your probably looking at a date in april for the ECM to give an answer.
Not all appeals go to Abu, it depends what the post ref: if it state abu then yes it will go back there if it has Islamabad then i think it will come here to an ecm then sent back to pakistan..
I had my appeal go in on the 19th and im still waiting

[/quote]

Thanks for the reply zully and king2be.

I have paid the fee online on friday,so lets see what happens. Zully you said i should hear something in April...2013??? that seems a bit too long dont you think. i thought 11-19weeks

Hi. Firstly I'm sorry I meant to say oct this year not sure why I wrote April. Have you also resent the confirmation to customer services with your card details it will help locate your case quicker.
My case went into appeal as my hubby got a date wrong for our wedding. And due to that it's rejected. Rightly so I can understand but a minor mistake has probably cost me an extra 8 months now.

Zully if you need any more advise please pm. I would rather not come on this site. I'm always willing to help.

Thanks for the reply zully and king2be.

i am being patient, i have done so ever since i have got married but unlike some people on here who have the attitude 'it is out of your hands', i do not take that easy line approach. i AM being treated badly. they are NOT providing the service they are supposed to. i AM a paying customer so i have RIGHTS. if we all sit and do NOTHING, then we would just be a bunch of sheeps who get nothing and nor will the people after us.

i urge everyone who has been treated poorly to send in complaints to as many places as you can. unless there are enough complaints in government funded organisations, more or less NOTHING will ever change. would you ever go in to a shop and wait in line and let the shop keeper serve 10 people who came in after you just because he feels like it? of course not. you too are a customer and expect to be treated well. just like in this case, if there are delays, we have a right to know. if we send in an email, they HAVE to respond.

i want us to make a change for the people who have applied after me. i know it wont make much of a difference for my case but i hope that it does help the people after me.

trust me, i AM a government employee myself and the ONLY real thing they look at is complaint levels and if they are hitting their targets.
Their target is 6 months, they aim to get them processed in 3 months. Can you see the difference?

All complaining does is take up more of their time that could be spent processing the applications.

Don't panic. They are behind that's why I said you should have a confirmation email. So re email that to customer services with your card detail and name on card that is used. Also put appeal number on it.

To send private message I think that's what your talking about. Find the person you wish to message if you look at the bottom of there conversation you will see pm. That's how you send message.
