COS waiting time?

Hi- I am new to this forum so please direct me if there is already an existing thread related to this topic. Thanks

I have been offered a job in UK and the employer says that they have applied for the CoS on April 2nd after thoroughly conducting the local market job test . It has been 2 months now and the company has been updating me that there is no updates from the Home office due to the lot of pending applications, system crash, etc, etc…. They have been kind enough, to give me regular calls and in keeping me posted about the situation. Just wondering they are not taking me for a ride as it has been two months now.

1) What is the timeline for CoS usually?
2) Is it true that there are delays now a days and if so ….for more than 2 months?
3) When should I expect the CoS and after that how much time does it take for the Visa Stamping/ when should I be able to travel once I receive the CoS.

I have already gone through this and that is why am still worried as, they have mentioned that majority of the applications submitted before 6 April 2012 will be concluded by Friday 4 May 2012 and yet no news even after a month from May 4th.

I think there is huge huge waiting for the application inside UK I am have been waiting here in UK Ffrom march 2012 and many I think still same situation

FYI

CoS applied unrestricted 26th mar12
CoS issued 27th april12

Keep up the pressure on HR and ask them to write weekly emails to UKBA.Also rules are changing post 14th jun.Pls check new guidelines.Good luck!

Xanadu85 - when you say rules are changing - do you mean for the CoS application/submission or are you referring to the PBS Tier 2 Guidance updates (i.e. maintenance level increase etc)?

my employer submitted my CoS application last week too - is there likely to still be delays? i was told we will have an answer on the 12th or 13th June.....

I meant UKBA guidelines maintenance etc.Some SOC codes are being abolished.Pls make sure that your job is there on the list.There shouldn't be any issues with CoS though.

Hi Phoebe it's not clear what you are waiting for.Is it in country unrestricted CoS? Or are you waiting for a decision of your application?If it is for CoS then it seems very long wait.

can you please post when you receive approval/rejection for the latest round of CoS applications submitted for the 5th June?

on the 12th of each month there should be answers....

Not necessarily. It can take up to a week.

i received my CoS this week! so now I can apply for my visa out-of-country! if all the paperwork is correct and requirements are met is there any reason visa applications are refused at this stage?
