Family Visa

Post by mustang390 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:07 am

Hi I am on ILR and want to apply for my Wife and 2 Babaies (1 year old).
My WIfe was in the UK but went back home when we had twin babies as it was difficult to look after 2 babies, So My questions are

1) What are the main Visa requirements for the babies born in the UK
2) How much Maintenance funds I must show for the their Visas ?
3) DO I need to apply for ILR for my Babies or just dependent Visas ?
4) My Wife already had a spouse Visa which was expired in March 2012, so which Visa shud I apply for her is it dependent or spouse ?
5) and Finally when these New rules are going to apply for Family Members ?

ANy Help would be appriciated.

When did you receive ILR?
When were the children born?
Were both born in the UK?
How long are the children expected to remain overseas?
What leave does your spouse have?

1. The children will need to apply for entry clearance as child of a settled person.
2. At the time of this post, there is no requirement for maintenance funds (unlike PBS dependants).
3. If your spouse does not have settlement, the children will not be granted Indefinite leave to enter (ILE).
4. Entry clearance as spouse of settled person.
5. Not sure at the moment but rumour has it that changes may be introduced from 09-Jul. More definitive information is expected later today or tomorrow.
