Tier 1 (General) dependant visa application

Post by sherjan » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:39 am

Hi All

I need to apply dependent visa for my wife in Pakistan.

I am living in UK more than 12 months! My question is related to maintenance of funds.

Do I need to show fund for myself (600+900 = 1500)
OR
Just £600 for my wife

I have maintained funds as follows

April = £1100
May = £1200
June = £1400

Someone telling me I should have to maintain certain funds myself as well. In result I should have to show £1500 each month……But I have already have visa, already living in UK, already living in a house, already maintaining my expenses.

Much appreciate if anyone guide me and if anyone practically experienced this situation please share.

Many Thanks

Sherjan

You just need to have £600 for the 3 month continuous period.

If the applicant is in Pakistan then it has to be 1800, not 600.

How it will be £1800 ? Is it not £600 for the dependent when the Tier-1 migrant is in UK for more than 12months ?

Disadvantage of selective reading .... make errors! As I have done!
Happening too often, it seems!

600 is correct. Ignore my earlier response.

Apologies! :oops:

Thanks for the reply and correction but are you confident about it?

Reason I am asking this because no one share his/her experience once the get the visa or reject. Mostly people in this forum assume or give advice which is safe to say...I read many previous posts people say

"533pounds (previously required - now 600pounds) but if you have 800 extra then it will be safe"

This is frustrating!

Anyhow, I will apply with my current circumstances and share my experience with people who really need help.

This forum must have a personal experience section and people must come back to form after getting visas

Dear Brothers,

My wife will be applying for a Tier 1 dependant visa to join me soon. My query is how much money I need to maintain in my bank account (£600 or £1800)?

I have stayed in the UK for nearly six years under several types of visa (student visa: 4 years / Tier 2 (G): 1.5 year / Tier 1 (G): 7 months).

Your reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks sushdmehta! Although I have been in the UK for nearly six year, the total period of my stay here under Tier 1 is only 7 months.

Do I need to show the maintenance funds of £1800 for my wife's dependant visa? Or just £600?

Hi All,

Urgent reply would be fantastic.

I was ready this post regarding maintenance requirment for tier 1 general dependent and have ONE question, please if you can clarify, many thanks

I will be submitting 6 months bank statement with my wife application for tier 1 dependent visa from pakistan.

Question

My last bank statement will be 18 days old ON THE DAY my wife will submit her application from tier 1 dependent visa in the visa application center.

Will that be OK? or do i need to send another bank statement to cover these days ****but u know last stmt will always be few days old... as it takes few days to come home first from bank and then few days to post the statements to pakistan***.

please advise

thanks
kam
