Is the email from UKBA an auto-reply email or a serious one?

Post by yaojiximalong » Tue Jun 19, 2012 11:02 pm

The thing is I wrote an email to ask if UKBA(BRPDelivery@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk) has already sent the BRP card to me (PLEASE NOTE, I wrote an email to them. I was not they sent me an email first.)
But after this I sent an email to DX delivery, they told me there is no outstanding item for me, which means that the BRP actually hasn’t been sent out. How to explain this? Is the reply from UKBA a real reply?
Here is UKBA’s reply:
Thank you for your enquiry regarding the delivery of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).

Your BRP will be delivered within the next 3-7 working days.
If you have not received your BRP within 10 working days, please re-contact us and we will investigate.

Deliveries take place between 8am and 6pm.
Please note that on delivery the courier will require proof of identity (such as your passport, driving licence or bank card) and a signature to confirm receipt of the package.

You are advised not to make any travel arrangements until you have received your BRP.

Thank you
BRP Management Unit

It implies that your application probably hasn't been decided yet so it is unclear why you are Emailing to ask where your BRP is

Not sure why you emailed the BRP delivery team when your application has not yet been decided. Perhaps some like-minded "anxious" individual suggested that you do?

Anyways, this is a auto-reply.

If you think UKBA will advise you on the status of your application before 14 weeks, you are highly mistaken. As suggested earlier, be patient.
