Hi Chakritsus,

Either one of two pieces of evidence are required as proof, according to the HSMP guidance notes:

1. Full driving licence
2. Birth Certificate.

I believe you have to supply a case for exceptional circumstances if you want to give other evidence such as notarised passport pages.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.

But my question is , Can I use Secondary school certificate as proof for DOB?

I am from Hyderabad,AP where we use School certificate as proof for DOB.

Will HSMP team accept this certificate for Age assessment?

Playing devil's advocate, lets say the HSMP officer processing your application is not too nice to begin with, and on top of that, is also having a particularly bad day. Maybe he might retort to your above logic with "Well, I am in England, and here we use the Birth Certificate or a Drivers License. So, no points for you!".

Kind of a waste of your money, time and efforts if that happens, right?

Do what it says my friend. Send the birth certificate or driver's license. And if its in a language other than English, include a translator by a Sworn Translator. Go by your local court house. They should have a couple of them in the area.

Side note: Anyone get the Seinfeld reference? :-)

Normal Copy of Passport will also do... Notarized Copy is not required but as u hv to send Notarize Copy with ur application, u can mention "DoB Proof: Notarize Copy of Passport"

Akash, lets not advise which is against the guidance notes or HSMP rules...U might be lucky that they did nt went against the fact ur pssport copy was not notarised...
