I am following this thread from long time .. thanks for the useful information .. I got a query ..I got my PR in last November .. My wife and kid applied for settlement visa on 4th May from Hyderabad .. due to some problem I had to change My home on 2nd June. Do I need to send new rental agreement and bills to the home office . If yes what is the procedure.

Thanks in advance ..

Ranjith
You cannot submit any new documents.... So do not worry at all, if they need something they will contact you, there is no need to inform them at this stage I believe. You can always call the BHC in Mumbai and let them know
Thanks Paz .. I did emailed VFS Chennai about the situation .. waiting for d reply ..

no news yet..i am worried coz only 8 working days (total 10 days) left to finish 3 months..i think they will not issue visa untill 9 july and after that tey will sent refusal which states that you application does not meet requirement under new rules
application submit at AHM 29 march 2012
application under process 3 april 2012
waiting.....
I dont think they would do that because the new rules will affect only those who have made their applications after the 9th of July.

Hi,
You may expect it any moment now, if you see the previous messages on this thread there are many people(including me) which have applied around your date and are waiting for visas.
You can have a look at the new rules announced on this link: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... -migration

16/04/12 : Application under process at BHC.
18/07/12 : Processed Application couriered via Bluedart.

I have dropped an email to vfsuk.south@vfs-uk-in.com querying my settlement application as it is almost close to 3 months. I know i will get a standard response that the application is still being processed at BHC. Is this the correct contact address?

Applied at VFS hyderabad on 27/03/2012.

Hi Sri,

The address given on the VFS India website is Infouk.southin@vfshelpline.com for south India, however i would like to quote this from their (VFS) website
The call centre cannot provide immigration advice, and cannot give you any information about the progress of your application after it has been sent to the UK Border Agency.
I suggest you send an email to the BHC in Chennai the email address is chennai.visaenquiry@fco.gov.uk. Hope this helps.!

Haven't heard for my Visa either, need to cancel my flights for Monday now, all money is lost.

I think they might be having a workload to process the Visas for Olympic first.

@Lucy- Thanks

I just called the BHC to check what are they doing with my application. They replied "it will reach you in 12 to 24 weeks". When I asked them what is delaying the visa process they said "its the process that takes time", not a very satisfying answer though.

Also, to postpone it I don't know on which date its(Visa) going to arrive and I guess we need to pay extra charges to do it.

i knw i changed my ticket four times.. better than loosing all the money is to postpone it... extra charges r not much as far my experience wid Jet Airways says...

Hi All!

Huge congratulations to Pazpatel! Happy married life to you & your wife!

My husband just got his visa today through the Delhi BHC!!! :D So those still waiting don't worry, ours took about 56 working days.

Someone asked about their visa not saying 'under process', ours was the same. We had a notice when we applied stating:

Your application status message could be the following:

A) Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK visa application centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same.
THIS MEANS THE DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN ON YOUR APPLICATION
B) Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission.
THIS MEANS THE APPLICATION IS UNDER PROCESS AT THE HIGH COMMISSION AND NO DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN YET
C) Your processed application is in transit.
THIS MEANS YOUR APPLICATION IS ON THE WAY AND DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN ON YOUR APPLICATION .

Good luck to you all waiting for visas!
