I have same case as yours, did you receive biometric letter since you phoned them, pls can you provide timeline.

I have applied on 3rd march but still havent received anything. I spoke to helpline on 14th June and explained situation, they said same thing that they will sent letter within 10 working days.

I phoned them again on yesterday and they said it has been sent on 15th june, but still waiting.

pls can you advise.

How odd, the service standards page for ILR says 95% of applications decided within 6 months. 24 weeks is less than 6 months... so I'm not sure what this is announcing.

Alas, I'm sure it'll come through some time. They don't often lose stuff.

It isn't the first time contradictory information has been published on the UKBA website. By their own admission, anyone waiting more than 24 weeks is experiencing substandard service.

Yes I called them this morning and they said that they sent the letter out 10 days ago but I have not received any letter and they requested to send another letter out....

Ashwin 1860, WTF any others who have not received their documents back, could you please update from which UK BA office did you receive your ACKN letters ie Liverpool. sheffield etc, because I think time lines are differing between different centres where they are being processed.

I received my acknowledgement letter from Croydon, although someone on this forum mentioned that all ILR applications are sent to Liverpool for processing(?).

Since the time I have had my visa's sorted for HSMP & Tier-1, all my correspondence has been with the Sheffield Office. This time my AKN is again from Sheffield. It depends where your information has been sorted initially and they have your records and accordingly your documents reach their office to be sorted.

Ashwin 1860, WTF any others who have not received their documents back, could you please update from which UK BA office did you receive your ACKN letters ie Liverpool. sheffield etc, because I think time lines are differing between different centres where they are being processed.

Seeing the timelines for the last few people who have received their applications back, it looks like they have speeded up a little on applications and is doing it in less than 20wks for straight Forward ones, but some may be due to expediting or contacting MP. Have you sent Expedite letter or contacted your MP?

I applied for ILR using SET(O) on 19-Feb-2012, payment taken on 21-Feb-2012. Today, I came across this forum. I read few threads and realised that that I should have received acknowledgement letter from UKBA. I just wanted to know whether it is common not to receive the acknowledgement letter?

I also contacted the UKBA, they couldn't find my application using the postal delivery bar code. The guy asked for my date of birth, nationality and full name and then after a while told me that it is in the queue and my application can take a while. They can't give me any further details except that I have to keep waiting since they have a backlog of applications to clear.

I am not sure what to expect from them now. Anyone had the same experience???!!!

It has happen to others before, the gentleman says that your application is with the UKBA, you will be fine, there are people who applied before you, who haven't heard from them as yet, keep praying, all will be ok.

If you make an application before your authorised stay ends, your existing immigration status will continue until your application is decided, even if the decision is not made until after the end of your permitted stay. If your existing visa or other permission to stay here allows you to work, you can continue to do so until your case is decided.

Bottomline - you are sorted once you apply 28 days before your current leave to remain expires. Hope that helps

We have found that there is a checking service offered so Im going to try to make an appointment in the next 2 weeks and I think they send things off that day so everything should work out...fingers crossed!
