Entry in UK after 7 months

I got my tier 1 visa in June 2011. I was in UK until Dec 2011 and then came back to India because of my job related stuff. I am again planning to go to UK next month i.e. July, 2012.

My queries are as follows:

Is there any time limit on staying outside UK for more than 7 months and later denied entry becasue of the same?

I want to renew my visa by May 2013, Will it be possible for me to do so without completing 12 months in UK?
