ILR Employer letter

if you have official salary slips and relevant bank Statements, is it still a requirement to confirm the salary in the Employer's letter too?

Basically Employer letter covers :
- dates of join
- foreseeable future statement
- title

Salary confirmation via pay slips

How do you expect others to respond without knowing under which immigration category do you qualify for settlement?
