Employer Checks (Quick reply needed if possible)

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could possibly give me any quick advice. My partner is currently 3 months into waiting to hear if he can get indefinite leave to remain. He did his biometric fingerprints about 7 or 8 weeks ago.

my question is do the home office usually check employer references before they ask you to go for the fingerprint appointment? He has been offered a better job and is unsure whether taking it will affect these checks and his application.

What is the visa category of your partner?

I guess, tier 1 general. He was married when he first moved here and his wife sponsered his visa for 4 years. Now he is divorced and has applied on his own so im not sure.

No, the Biometric aspect of the application is mandatory for everyone and happens before the application is scrutinised.

Thanks. Do you think changing his employer would affect his application? he will still be working the same hours etc. He will be the home office to let them know anyway.
