Passport renewal + Life in the UK Test query

1. Renewed dependent minor's passport. Is it compulsory to get the UK Tier 1 dependent visa transferred from the old passport to the new one, or can the old one be attached to the new one when applying for ILR this December (2012)?

2. Dependent spouse needs to do Life in the UK Test. The registration form asks for HO reference number... she just has a visa stamp on her passport... what to write in the field for HO Ref Number?

Visa don't need to be transfered from old passport to New. Just keep both the passport togather while applying.

H.O. Reference number is usually on the letters that you got with your visa or any other correspondence from UKBA. Don't worry as usually this information is not mandatory. Not sure about the life in the UK test. I will let other guide you more in that area.
