Travel abroad couple of weeks before Tier 1 expires?

Post by goingbrit » Mon Jul 02, 2012 10:56 am

Does anyone have any experience travelling abroad (and returning to the UK) just a few days before the Tier1 visa expires? I am wondering if the ECO might create problems for my child who is a Tier 1 dependant (I will travel with him, and my visa will still be valid for a couple of years). We plan to come back and send his extension application by post. Any experiences would be useful to know about, thanks!

There shouldn't be a problem with him. As long as you have a valid visa
The question is... to be or not to be....

I have re-entered with a few days of visa validity left in the past, so think you will be fine as long as your dependent's visa is valid when you enter.

Thanks for your replies, zahid and ups. Anyone else have any recent experience of this?
