I got mine too. Applied on 20-aug-2011 and attendance on the 30-august-2012. However, i have a problem as i have to travel to the US for 3 weeks from 30 july to 15 august. Is it possible for me to do that travel ?

I have to surrender my garda card and this travel is also needed. Is there any problem when i re-enter ireland and i dont have my garda card ?

any help on this please ?

thanks

They do not ask about the Garda card in the Airport...I presume u will need a Rentry visa

Sorry I meant this letter
"'I am now writing to let you know that your application is currently being processed and will be progressed to a final decision as expeditiously as possible. In that regard, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence has indicated that it is expected that significant inroads will be made with remaining cases in the naturalisation backlog by year end.' I dont think you will have problem with Re entry as long as u have re entry visa on your passport. However, to make matter simpler at the Air[port, make sure u have coluored copy of ur GNIB card with you and a copy of the Approval letter. A simple explanation to immigration at the Airport should help out in case you are asked why you do not have GNIB card with you. Good luck

Lads! :)

I have received my approval today. I am delighted! The wait is over. I am over the moon! I have applied in June 2011 based on 5 years work permit. Funny enough, I was in GNIB office to renew my visa yesterday!

Wish everyone all the best who are still waiting. Please keep your hopes. The train is moving fast. This forum has been my hope while waiting for my turn. Please keep up the good work!

Last but not least, Alan Shatter, I am raising my glass to you, you are an awesome man! Thank you so much!

Now bring on the joy, champagne and Guinness! :)
