He/she doesn't need it - application submitted prior to 29 Feb.

I must say however that looking at our data on here, 45 days average processing time does not include the application waiting to be processed and after a decision has been made, waiting for your ILR label. I think the 45day average is for the "actual processing time" so in other words - yet again the UKBA seem to bend the truth to make their processing standards seem okay! It should be measured from the received date to the clients postal received date. *NOT the begining processing date to decision date!!

There are no words to describe how let down I feel from the UK government and I am second thinking as to why I should stay in this country... why not take my skills somewhere else... maybe somewhere sunny :)
There's a caveat in there remember - "Figures relate to postal applications as well as applications submitted at Public Enquiry Offices" - so I can very much believe that the average processing time is 45 days if they have a whole bunch of applications done in 1 day via PEOs. This would massively skew the average down. If we knew how many of those in that week were postal vs PEO, we could approximately un-skew it! Alas. We already know it takes aeons.
ed_1980 you are totally right there, they are pulling the report to include PEO applications and not just postal applications. to be honest though, knowing the UKBA they prob don't even have a way to statistically separate the two. ha ha just another great example of pulling the cloth over our eyes.

But hey lets look at the brighter side..... at least we are here to stay and lets face it, we have worked long and hard for it so what is a few more weeks? After all if we all left the UK would have a slight problem in filling the gaps, skilled workers, right of ancestry, spouses and families are very important to the UK government.

Edit: Ooh that's actually exciting, 23rd Feb is the same date as on my ack letter.

Query to UKBA's prisoner

Post by Lost-in-transition » Fri Jul 13, 2012 1:49 pm

Congratulations!! Your wait is finally over. I applied on 20th Feb but have not heard anything yet. Could you please post from which office you received your documents? Liverpool, Sheffield or Croydon. I am seeing that most of the recent returns are from Liverpool office. My AKN is from Sheffield so I am worried that nothing seems to be coming from Sheffield.

Thanks! I was going out of my mind for a bit... but it shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Yours is probably on it's way now if you applied same time as me.

Good luck. :D

Hello All,

Stumbled across this forum when doing a Google search for ILR timeline. Although it's depressing to see so many of you still waiting, I'm glad I'm not alone in watching for the post.

My timeline is as follows:

Application for ILR Set M submitted: 30.3.12
Acknowledgement Letter from UKBA - Sheffield: 4.4.12
Cheaque Cleared from Account: 11.4.12
Request for Biometrics - Liverpool: 24.5.12
Biometrics Taken - Portsmouth: 8.6.12

Now I guess all I can do is sit and wait.

Congratulations to everyone who has their's and Good Luck to those still waiting - C :)

You can request your partner passport back by phone call. Make sure your partner is present when you call UKBA.

Have you tried Employer checking service?

He / she can contact them and they will confirm that you have work permit.

You must seek legal advise here.

UKBA clearly state that until your application is decided you are allowed to work and even you can apply for a new job if the employer is willing to go the ECS route.

This is a very very unfair move if all employers started doing this and also if UKBA started to take 1 year to process our ILR.

May be it's time to form something like HSMP Forum to act against these BS.
