I applied on August 2011.My application is based on 5 Year residency. So far nothing except the acknowledgement letter. Anyone in similar situation? Tried calling the INIS helpline but the line seems to be continuously busy.

is there anyone on the forum that applied in 2010 based on 5 years reckonable residency still awaiting approval from INIS?

I know quite a few like myself that applied in 2010 still waiting on approval. And we all applied based on 5 years reckonable residency...

This is really unfair!! People that applied in 2011 and almost a year after i did have gotten approval for the august ceremony date

It is sad that those who applied 07, 08, 09, 2010 and early 2011 are caught up because of the old format of application.

This is not true 2 days before they roll out the new format of the application for naturalization, I applied using the old form, Good luck to those who are still waiting.

There IS postal service in Ireland on saturdays!!I for a fact guarantee that.Every saturday people get their mail delivered to them.I,as a matter of fact, recieved my naturalisation approval on Good Friday, for June ceremony. So that's the explanation.

There are no Postal DELIVERY service in Ireland on Saturdays, except during the couple of weeks before Christmas! Post offices are normally open on Saturdays for other business, but they DO NOT deliver letters to homes/businesses on Saturday!

Good-Friday is a privilege day and not a bank holiday, so the postal delivery service works on that day.[/quote]

I was thinking the same BUT They do!!!!. so many times now i got mail on Saturday!!!may be this is new thing

Has anyone been able to get through to the helpline lately? I only get short beeps each time I dial. Is there a call waiting on this line? I am not sure if the line is busy/broken/off hook

Also is there any benefit in sending my LTR letter to INIS? Can you please share your experience on this?

Depend of the application based
If it is Work permit/Visa is between 3-6 months
But if the application is based on Irish/EU spouse no timeframe
My wife application was pending Garda report from October 2011 and she didn't receive yet approval

Got through to the helpline after countless redial attempts and then a 20 min wait on call queue. They said that the file is with the minister for approval. How long does it take from this stage? Can you please share your experience? Thanks

@ ks2010

thanks for your response..

@ Cleangreen

from reading past posts on this forums, it usually takes btw 2 to 3 weeks.. so probably if you dont make the august 30 ceremony you should make the october one...

I don't think anyone else will make it for august 30 except those who have already received their approval
I think DOJ works by a week batch and we have to wait for next batch that it is probably second week of september for 14 October ceremony

I hope there is still chance to get some people for 30 August oath ceremony because lot of people who got citizenship invitations are on vacation. If they don't send the documents on time, INIS will include some others in the gap.

I now feel confident that all applicant upto 2011 will be cleared off by the end of this year as there are 2 citizenship ceremony remaining (Oct 15th and Dec XX 2012).

So a total of 8000 approval before the end of this year. :)
Not waiting any more
