Volunteering on fiancee visa

Hello everybody!

Can someone please provide me with the law that defines who is entitled to volunteer? As I understood people who are in the UK on fiancée visa and awaiting Leave to Remain are NOT allowed to volunteer. So I would like to see the law and evidence that says that.
