@ D Shah.....

Would you still have the BHC islamabad email address re: Spouse Visa application enquiry.

Do i need to provide this email address to my Local MP or would they have it already with them.

Last question..... Which application reference number need to refer...Tracking no or the correspondnce ref.

Your mp should have their email add once ŷöü tell them it's high commission in Islamabad,
They need the tracking no. Which you use to track your application on line
Also handy to provide applicants passport no.

Thanks D Shah.....

When we applied spouse visa...Gerry's in Karachi had given us 2 Application reference.

1- Tracking online
2- Correspondence.

Don't you think ?.... I should use my correspondence reference.

I emailed my mp the tracking no. Only, along with other details , maybe you can send both your correspondence and your tracking no. In your email and your mp will know better which one of the two they require.
Good luck

It was for my wife, I'm guessing it was stamped when they put it down for collection - 26/07/2012

Submitted spousal settlement visa in May

Post by Scottishraja » Mon Jul 30, 2012 2:32 pm

I submitted my wifes visa settlement at Islamabad on 14/05/2012 and as yet have not heard anything abck.

What are current timelines like??

I emailed FCO and they say they are reviewing applications submitted in February!! Its now nearly August so they musts still have a 5 month backlog?

I have been in touch with my MP and they are going to petition UKBa to get a move on. After all I did pay nearly £1000 for my application. The least they can do is give me a response on time. Im sure there doing the best, but that dosent seem to be good enough.

Im in the same boat as a lot of other people.

Application Submitted at Gerrys Islamabad on: 14/05/2012
Forwarded to OC on: 14/05/2012
Under Process at BHC on: 25/05/2012
Ready For Collection:
Passport Collected:
Married 09/06/2011
Applied at Gerrys 14/05/2012
Application forwarded to BHC 25/05/2012
Ready for Collection 18/10/2012
114 working days and got RFC
Yes/No ???????

Yeh bro, it appears the BHC do have a significant backlog as my wife submitted her application in lahore on 5th March 2012 and we've still not heard anything either... we've been waiting for almost 5 months without a response.

My MP wrote to the UKBA last week aswell. lets see what response we get.

I think the backlog is mostly due to the pre 09/07/12 application submission rush..

I hope you hear something real soon..

I was refused on the basis of a missing document. I had only provided the original certificate of the English test and did not know that had to submit a statement of results as well.

The backlog has been building up since last year Nov when the law changed from 21 yr olds to 18 yr olds. The Olympics doesn't help either. We may start to see things return to normal in 3 months when we're wll past Olympics and also the Law changes. Hopefully no other major changes in law take place to prevent a surge of applicants. Either way with £820 a single application and multiple every day, they should have more than adequate staff to deal with it.

I wonder where the £800 goes anyway, it's a farce.

whilst I agree there maybe a backlog, i'm still baffled as to why people that have applied after us have already been granted their visa's and some of us are still waiting. How are these applicants able to gain priority over others? :?

Visa granted

Post by Elisha » Tue Jul 31, 2012 10:00 am

Hi Guys

Just wanted to add my timeline to the post
Application submitted 29/03/2012
Application at bhc 13/04/2012
Visa granted 21/07/2012
Collected. 27/07/2012
Application centre Mirpur

To all those waiting i understand it is a long process but bhc are juat doing their job to make sure all cases are judged properly especially in the light of the olympic scams as well putting pakistan in the lime light for thw wrong reasons! Also, as long as the application is accurate and the original docs are provided you should be confident.I did not have any marriage photos as we married in court however my husbands visa was still granted due to the fact that i was going to visit him every month for the last year, therefore it just shows each case is based on its own merits and the evidence you provide in particular to meet the relationship genuineness criteria.when my husband submitted his case at mirpur he was almost turned away because there werent any wedding photos in the application therefore there is not a right or wrong document you provide for evidence

I think each application centre has different processing times maybe thats why yours is taking longer.Im sure you will be fine.

Asalamu Alaikum evryone

i totally agree with hashim10 i am confused as to why people who have appplied after us are getting responses before us. im worried bcoz its making me think there is something wrong with our application. but on the otherside, it could all depend on the sponsor's documents submitted for example if they have their own property, alot of savings in thier bank account and a high class job etc. maybe that could be why they are getting a quicker response.

Anyways congrats to all who have been granted visas and Insha'Allah all who are waiting will soon get a response. Wish U all the best and plz remember me in ur duas and im praying for evryone else.
Im hoping we march applicants hear something this week or next... Insha'Allah.

In this blessed month of Ramadhan, may Allah reward us with good news soon :)

I know someone who applied a week before you and has just got a response ready for collection. So yours is imminent mate, hang in there.

I agree with you, it's absolutely unacceptable that some applications are dealth with more swiftly than others, despite the fact everyone is paying the same amount.

It should ALWAYS be a first come, first serve thing.

walaikum asalam munchies27

i've noticed that you also submitted your application in Lahore like I did. Maybe Elisha is right where certain centres have different processing times to others. Karachi and Mirpur centres currently appear to be way quicker than Lahore which is a shame...

Like you I am also doubting my documentation but I know for a fact that I meet the requirements quite comfortably and my paperwork was up to the mark. I guess we just have to wait patiently. Hope you hear something soon.
