Paramjit,

Hope you would also have received your reference number.

By seeing the mail from HO, I assume that my decision has not been made and they are still processing my application.

Wish me all the best !!

Thanks Jack. I'd hope for both our applications to go thru without a hitch. My ref is 202XXX. Gees, must be at least 1000 applications between yours and mine...

Hi All,

Any idea of

Is the reference number is just a serially allotted number by HSMP team?
Or it contains some other code or may be a country code?

LIKE:
200XXX - For Old HSMP system
201XXX - For New HSMP system

This question just arised out of curiocity.

My application is received by H.O. on 28-12-06; and Is the credit card charged or not that I dont know. Is there any way I can inquire the HO for the reference number?

Thanks for the reply. but still its not clear my query.

My salary is 33K in UK. Could you please clarify what code i have to mention in below questions. I can't differentiate both from the page24 of guidance notes.

Q28: Country Code = ?
Q31: Earning band =? for 33K it seems to be A. Is it correct? Please reply straight away about the codes.

Thanks

income query

Post by pravtech » Fri Dec 29, 2006 5:14 pm

hi all,
As i told before regarding the IT coverage for the full 17 months which goes like this..

country code--D

I completed bachelors in the year july 2005,i started working from the month july 2005.
IT filed (for the period 17 months)

Aug 2005 - March 2006 (8 months)which comes under 6000+GBP
April 2006 - Dec 2006 ( 9 months) after a jump in my salary which comes to 6600+ GBP ..(advance tax) ---- 35 points
so, total IT filed is for 17 months ,i mean to say i have paid advance tax from april 06 .I think itz better if i send for 17 months rather sending 12 months! bz HO may point out saying:: for the sake of the hsmp visa i have filed IT for only 12 months.i dont want to take chance and somethg to go wrong. am i right???
2) payslips signed and stamped for 12 months.
3) CA letter for the 17 months tax paid and total earning for 12 months.
4) letter from university aswell institution (degree was taught in english through out the course) for english requirement.
5) age proof(licence card type,and birth certificate notarized)----20 points under 27.
6) reference letters from institution, degree certificate, orginal transcripts( education proof) --------30 points

total points ----85

I doubt ::shd i send IT only for 12 months out of 17 months or even the advance tax paid till dec 06..for 17 months????????? confused :x

waiting for ur suggestions.. :o

thanks

I sent my NARIC letter as additional evidence after recieving Reference no from HSMP, as decision is not made, it will reach before 2nd Jan, and on 2nd Jan HSMP is opening again, hope it will add some value.

Hi Paramjit,

You sent your NARIC letter by courier or post?
Can't we just Fax the additional documents required to support the application?
Did you speak to H.O. what is the preferred method of sending additional documents, once your application is received by H.O.

Hi DJSA,

1. NARIC certificate is not mandatory but advisable for sure shot points in Education...

2. Even for eng proof, they want eng letter from british equivalent bachelor degree...So to insure safe passage...

So I sent NARIC letter

when will I get Reference number

Post by chakritsus » Sun Dec 31, 2006 1:33 pm

Hi,
I sent my HSMP application recently through fedex and it reached there by 29th of December.
I have couple of questions

1) When can I expect reference number ?

2) Regarding past earnings , I submitted IT returns which covers only 6 months of period claimed + 12 months Pay slips + Bank Statements showing 9 months of salary.
Is it ok ?

Actually I could have submitted 12 months Bank statements, but as it is taking a little longer to get these 12 statements, I submitted 9 statements which I already have .

I am thinking that I made mistake to submit the application in a hurry.

Any thoughts whether 9 statemets will be ok or not ?

Chakri

You will get a reference number anyway.

If you post here the earnings period (Dates /From -To), members here can provide comments. Please also post for which months have you submitted IT return, and for which months have you submitted Bank statements.

Hi Chakritsus,

Regarding reference number, you will get it a few days after your payment has cleared. Payment is meant to get cleared in 1 day if its by credit card, and 5 days (1 week) if by cheque.

Regarding evidence for income, my personal opinion is that you have taken a risk; one should not assume a great degree of common sense from the decision makers at HO. Sorry, dont mean to sound discouraging, but I am speaking from experience.

Cheers

Hi Chakritsus,

Since you already sent your application,
Once you get your reference number, I suggest you submit the remaining period Bank Statement. Because for the earnings section they need two pieces of evidence; that should corraborate with each other.

Pls. post your application contents; so memebrs can comment on the same.

Call them on 2nd and take the reference no if ur payment is cleared. Call on 1142074074 . As soon as u get the reference no, call them and tell them u want to send additional proof. Hope if ur stars r lucky, ur additional proof will reach them, before decision. But do not waste time, send them proof as soon as u get ref no. They have gud reason to do something bullish.

Best of luck ,,,NEW YEAR
