ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

Hi,
I have applied for ILR at Croyden on 26th July in premium service.
I am contracting with my own limited company. My account (a renouned company) has advised me to have low basic salary so as to save on NI. Since my payslips were showing 0 NIC, case worker has asked me to send them a letter confirming my 0 NIC contribution, on checking she confirm that a letter from accountant will do.
My doubt is, even the payslips are from the accountant. Then why she will be fine with such letter.
Has anyone had this kind of experience?

Hi R&F ,Thanks for the reply,What they said was because they haven't taken the payment (eventhough it has been 3 weeks,and I am not the only one),it is as if they haven't opened my application . Only when they take payment and create a record on the system against my immigration history can the employer checking service can verify.(not nessasaraly when the case worker is assigned) When ur current employer checked,was the fee charged and did you already have an Ack letter?

A separate letter from CAAU 3 UKBA (Manchester) came yesterday,
Asking me to confirm my name spelling for updating of records. In addition, i need to submit 2 passport size of myself & dependant attaching my passport or national identity card. And for
Dependant is the birth certificate to show the place of birth.

Actually, i dont know if this is in connection of my biometric card or just to update their record. Has anybody from
This forum received the same thing with me? It says ther i need to submit in originals all the documents they required within 21 days. So it is confusing me really. So i want to know if someone

Yeah I had my ack letter and pay taken out.
But it is worth giving it a try as it asks, if you submitted your papers prior to your visa expiring you are still able to work. Maybe if you also send proof delivery it should be fine.

It's worth a try, you've got nothing else to lose.

That is not true, when I was applying I was being made redundant. An my current employer used the checking service to see if I could work and the outcome was positive. I know I was not assigned a caseworker because I had asked my MP to expedite and I had just gotten a letter from him saying that it had not been assigned to a caseworker so he could not do anything.

Only the employer can use the checking service tough!

Can I state the obvious and say this whole operation they have going at UKBA is a cluster cuss of epic proportions.

I have yet to receive confirmation on an application sent on the 12th of July - with my current leave expiring on the 7th of August can anyone advise me on what to tell/show my employer that sounds official and proper? Who the hell can afford to be off work for 6 months.

I understand there is an employment checking service but what is that? and will it even help me if I have not even gotten acknowledgement yet (sorry if this was cleared up above somewhere)

Just tell them you've applied and therefore your leave to remain and work is extended until a decision is made. Show them the url where it says that. The increasing delays in the ack letter is concerning, since it does inhibit the capacity for an employer to check.

I'm at 23 weeks waiting today. Yay!

To my understanding CAAU relates to Asylum cases. Maybe there is a mix-up in their (UKBA) office or have you seek asylum in the past?. So i will suggest you call them now and clear the issue. Or wait till you biometric card will arrive and call them that you have already got your ILR. You can also send them a fax or detail letter.

I can see that they have taken payment from my credit card (it appears the transaction was placed on Monday 30th Jul, but yesterday UKBA said they have no record of it against my immigration record!.) Hopefully will get an Ack letter soon. We'll ask the employer to use the employer checking service now. Thanks again for your support everyone.

my biometrics got done when i applied for spouse visa less then 2 years ago im now applying for ILR and waswondering if they will do bio again?
my lawyer told me to send in pics with the application so i did that
i sent my app on 5th july
payment was taken 23rd july ( about then ) and ack letter

the fact they have taken my money does that mean they have started my app?
why is it that we all have no idea what the process is and whats happening with our visas when we pay them so much to do bloody nothing?
i thinkwe should all complain and let them know we are tired of waiting when they take 500-1000 pound for our visas for what reason when we are left months waiting

How long has anyone gone without an acknowledgement letter or payment taken - I am at 3 weeks so far with my visa expiring on the 7th of august - they are making me sweat - ACKNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE RECEIVED MY G'DAMN APPLICATION! Meanwhile what do I do if I get to the 7th and they still haven't acknowledged it... is the thing lost? and what do I do if it is?... okay okay I'll keep calm but MAN do they find a way to stress me out every single time I have ever applied for a visa - every time I think it's going to go smooth, some BS happens.

I'm still waiting but am slightly concerned as the companys external accountants dept where I work had me deleted of the payroll whilst i am still being paid.

I only found this out today when i received a letter from student loan company stating HM Revenues and Customs had informed them I was no longer in employment.

I contacted the accountants immediately who said there had been some error and they would correct this straight away.

I am worried as UKBA have probably checked and think I am unemployed when I am not. This is making the wait more agonising.

I am really worried now, what can happen if they reject the ILR can I just show them another letter from my employer to show an error has occured. Somebody plz help

I am sure most of the applicants here who applied in July are waiting for that God damn ack letter or fee been taken...

Just today I checked my Bank account (which I am checking every day since 17th July!!!!) and found there is a difference of about £1500 from last night's balance...though my account statement does not say anything at the moment as to where this money has gone but I am assuming (and hopeful) that this a UKBA transaction...

So after a long wait of 12 Working days I finally have my fee taken which makes my glorious timeline as follows:
