2 to 3 weeks is not the time required to clear the postal order. It is the time it may take for you to receive your reference number through post.

You would be shocked to know a case, where the reference number was received after a final decision was made :-), dont worry too much about it. At the end of two weeks, just follow up with them to find out the reference number.

If my memory serves me, I don't think HO wants personal cheques, but only bank cheques. I might be wrong though.

You will get a reference number anyway.

If you post here the earnings period (Dates /From -To), members here can provide comments. Please also post for which months have you submitted IT return, and for which months have you submitted Bank statements.
My past earning details I submitted are as follows

Period claimed :1-Oct-05 to 31-November-06

IT returns period - 1-April-05 to 31-march-06

Pay slips - 1-December-05 to 31-November

9 Bank Statements between 1-December-05 to 31-November

I also submitted Recent salary structure statement from Employer

I thought these things will be ok , but any how I will send remaning bank statements also.

Thanks all for quick replies

I guess U shud send 12 month bank statements.

As ITR is not covering full period, u shud send 2 other proofs, who covers 12 month period.

Hi,
I called the HO today and got to know that a case worker has been assigned. My application reached HO on Dec 14. As it was a cheque payment I got reference number only on Dec 27.

Thanks

Hi Guyz,

Small information !!! I sent my application on 27th and reached there by 28th. Payment was deducted from my CC on 29th.

I think they are processing the payments based on First come First serve. By the way I applied from outside UK.

Waiting for reference number .

Cheers

Dear Members,

I have a querry regarding the ITR- for the last comleted tax year.

My income tax return was filed by my C.A. with my short name.
Where as my HSMP application (and other evidences like passport copy, driving licence, Degree certificate etc) are with the Full name.

I am also attaching the IT-assessment report and the Income Tax Refund Pay order(mentions my short name as the Original ITR-was filed with it). The refund order is to be paid in my Bank account Number, which account statement I have already sent to HSMP for the initial application.

Now, I have prepared a notarised affidavit claiming that the ITR- was filed with the short name, and it belongs to me only.

Is this enough to proov that the ITR- was filed by me only?

Pls. share your experience.

When I applied for HSMP, I got an affidavit that all names that appear in the application, certificates are mine only. I do not know the decision yet.
