I have read few people suggesting to write a letter to MP or contacting him to speed up the process of your application. So you can tell your MP about your situation and hopefully he will help you.

My hubby prepared appeal bundle.. he posted it on 25 july till nw we did nt get any update?? What rply nxt we shall expect nw..?? Waiting for the response from tribunal, Do u hav any idea? Sick of this mystery appeal process

hun they are currently processing appeals recieved on the 17th of july so hope fully i reckon next week or so theyll send you a letter. i completely understand your fraustration

How did you submit your appeal? On paper or online? How did you submit your fee?

If you did it online, it generally gets processed a week before paper forms.

My wife and kid's status changed to 'Ready for collection' ... before that it was 'Your Application is being sent to the application centre. Please wait until it is ready for collection".' .. I hope this means positive outcome.... let see

Hi Guys,
I've Sent an email to BHC about my wife visa status,
I've got a reply saying your spouse visa is under process, the applicant will be informed once the decision is made,
it's 12 weeks now but still no answer, I wonder why they take soo much time

my lawyer did it by post on paper and he had given his card payments via post also.

Hi,

My sister has applied for UK Visa under SETTLEMENT WIFE case on 28-Feb-2012. Her Visa got refused on the basis that she doesn't has enough knowledge of English and failed to produce scores in individual component in her KET Exam Statement of Result.

Now we believe that this totally unfair and UKBA has given wrong Refusal. UKBA has already taken 5 months for refusing the VISA. Now we are confused how to proceed further. Whether we should apply for Fresh Application (By giving new Exam IELTS for English Assessment) or Appeal for the Original Decision. We want to follow the path in which we get the VISA in lesser duration.

Please advise.

have just been informed by the iat that my appeal has been recieved at the british high commision my 19 weeks starts again hopefully the outcome will be better than previous

For some unavoidable reasons, my wife could not get their passports collected from VFS .... they stay at a very remote place and far from Kolkata so my wife has asked someone to go and collect it on her behalf. That person reached at VFS like 5 minutes past the time for collection and they did not let him in.... now we have to wait till Monday... it's really very very anxious and now we have to wait till Monday...sure these weekend is going to go like a year...i hope they get their visas....cant wait for my wife and kid to join me here....lets see

Nop, spoke to my solictor yesterday. He has advised he will send a few e-mails requesting a update. Not sure what he aims to achieve.

Anyhow spoke to my local MP regarding my case, she has a requested a copy of grounds of appeal and corresponding supporting documents so that she can contact BHC to raise her concern on my behalf.

Will post any news as and when.

What's with the 19 week figure?
