106 days...........still waiting...............
so annoyed
Ahhh thats harsh, and I thought I had it hard. I applied on 5th march 12 in lahore and still waiting. The annoying thing is that gerry's asked me to email the following: visaenquiries.islamabad@fco.gov.uk to enquire about my wifes application status but my email keeps bouncing as their inbox is currently full.. Urghhhhh!!!

My wife's online status has changed to:
"Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same"

My wife received a different message from Gerry's which included their opeining times etc.

Should I read anything into the online message? It says "your application" rather than "your passport". Does that mean anything?

To self: don't panic, don't panic!

asalamu alaikum everyone...
Hope everyone is keeping well.

Hamza84 there isnt a delay in a particular Application Centre. my hubby submitted application on 19/03/12 and we havent heard anything yet. there are people wgo applied before us who are also waiting. there are a few people who submitted their applications from Islamabad in March 2012 and have been granted visas so thats how i know.

we have all been given a timescale for 24weeks so any time before that our decisions will be made. anothere couple of weeks wont harm if we have been able to wait all this time... as long as its a good outcome in the end.

i agree the system is a farce and isnt providing any customer satisfaction, but there isnt anything we can do apart from wait. it seems like all feb applicants are cleared so we are nect to hear good news Insha'Allah

anyways im sorry if this is the incorrect forum for this post.
if it is,could somebody plz kindly post the link to the correct forum.

Many Thanks

I'm surprised we've got a decision already.

I only contacted my MP on Monday this week. I hope the quick response from BHC is because my MP carries clout and moves quickly and not because there was anything amiss with our paperwork.

Bassem

I doubt your mp had any impact if you only contacted him
On monday because it takes a couple of days for the passport to be sent back to the centre as well therefore it may just be pure coincidence!most likely the visa application would have already been processed when you contacted your mp
Goodluck
:)

Ok brother's wife got VISA today.

Timeline is:

28 February - Submission Lahore.
30 July - Ready for collection.
31 July - Gerry say come back in 2 days
2 August - Passport Collected with VISA.

That is one of the longest waits anyone has ever had to endure, so those of you who are concerned about your long waits, think about others who've had to wait a lot longer than you.

Regarding your collection, apparently Gerry's had the passport but made some inexplicable excuse to not hand it over on 31 July. I of course wrote emails expressing my disgust. Some people as in my sister in law's case, have to travel 4 hours to get to Lahore and then 4 hours back.

So guys please be careful if you live long distances from the Application Centres.

Any questions let me know.

Congratz for your bro's wife's visa King.. It was useful to know that you guys submitted your application in Lahore on 28/02/12 which indeed is a shockingly long wait. I guess us March applicants should hear something pretty soon now in'sha'allah. Just out of curiousity, did you guys get your MP involved at all?

yes ur right our time is near insh'Allah... we r all going down the same road. its most likely for 'ready for collection' status to flood in hopefully next week as we r all/nearly past the 100 day mark. As long as ur case is genuine we will all Insha'Allah be fine.

Mash'Allah everyone nowadays is getting visa granted. i know they refused some cases due to silly reasons like the english language requirement. Dont loose hope.

King2b congrats for ur sis-in-laws visa. just look at how long king's bro had to wait. its all worth it in the end coz ur spouse is gna be with u for the rest of the time. before i used to get impatiant all the time but Allah has given me sabr... Just hope its a good outcome at the end of the day.

i sent numerous emails to my MP, made phone calls, emailed BHC but they r gna take how long they want.

Anyways Jummah Mubarak to All. Insha'Allah good news awaits us all. its just around the corner.

She got it! Visa granted. I was literally jumping for joy!

So glad that's over. That was an emotional rollercoaster I don't want to go on again.

When getting the paperwork together I was advised only to give them the bare minimum. I was told any excess paperwork would just add to the ECO's workload and give them more documents to check and chase up.

I was really confident when we submitted the application that all the necessary paperwork was present and correct. Then reading this forum got me worried that I had missed important stuff out. Unfortunately, rather than being a help, the forum was what got me down - my fault for being such a worrier. And then there was the prospect of having to apply under the new rules and waiting 5 years for ILR.

However, I'll be back checking the forum when its time to apply for ILR in a few months time. I'm gonna get that sorted at the earliest opportunity.

To people still waiting I would say hang on in there. If there was something seriously wrong with your application you would have had a decision by now. Inshallah it will work out.
